Geneva turns greener
The challenge
The bus operator in the city of Geneva wanted to go electric. But before investing, they needed to prove energy efficiency would meet expectations.
The solution
Hitachi Energy developed the first SCADA system for bus operators. It can monitor and optimize energy use from the grid down to the wheel.
The impact
The operator secured investment for new electric buses. Data also helped secure funding for scale-up. The eBuses have saved 1000 tons of CO2.
“This is a complete system to make mobility sustainable for future urban needs.”
Anne Hornung-Soukup, Chair of the Board of Director of Transports publics genevois
