Calling all copywriters and students of English – free food

fr_avatar2

Here’s a fun way to lose a few minutes but gain something for a good cause at the same time.

Go to Free Rice and play their word definitions game. You’re given words plus four possible meanings. Every time you get one right, you donate ten grains of rice to a good cause and you’re given a slightly harder word.

It may not sound much, but after playing only a couple of minutes, I was up to over a thousand grains. It starts off very easy and gets progressively harder.

As well as showing off your vocabulary, it’s something that could be used by individuals or classes learning English.

And apologies for the somewhat misleading headline – it is in a good cause.
